Level I: Intro to Metal Jewelry
Adult Metal Jewelry - Level I Beginner, Tuesdays
This class is for the beginner student. Students will learn how to use essential jewelry-making tools to create their designs. They will also cover all essential metal jewelry-making techniques, including cutting metal, filing, hammering, cold connections, textures, soldering, and beginner bezel settings. Each week, a new project will be explored using a new technique. Students are encouraged to attend all classes, as this is an info-packed class. Please bring a notepad.

PLEASE READ:
Tuition includes brass, copper, nickel silver, and select sterling silver wire. Due to rising silver costs, sterling silver sheet is no longer included and most projects will use copper, brass, or nickel silver. Students wishing to work in sterling silver should purchase a 3" × 3", 24-gauge dead-soft sterling silver sheet (recommended: Rio Grande Item No. 100598) prior to class. Hattie will provide sterling wire and bezel wire as needed.
