Come explore the wonderful world of wood carving in this exciting two-week class! Students will learn the fundamentals of basswood carving exploring caricature, sculpture and flat-plane techniques, the types of wood and proper blade care, and sharpening. Each student will purchase their own tool kit which includes: knife, leather strop, basswood blanks, and cut-proof safety gloves. Proper knife handling and safety will be covered.
This is a beginner level course but all levels are welcome. Age 18+
