Creative Wax Carving & Casting- Fall II

In this exciting 5 week project based class, students will learn how to create 3 dimensional wax jewelry models that will later be cast in metal using the ancient lost wax casting technique. Hattie will walk you through each process from designing your jewelry, carving the design, preparing the waxes and even cast the piece into metal! With your enrollment you will receive 1 lb of ancient bronze casting grain which is more than plenty. We recommend working in bronze before advancing to sterling silver. If you wish, sterling casting grain may be purchased from Hattie at an additional charge. She will explain once you arrive- this is optional.
No prior experience required! All materials provided.
